Obedience and Forgiveness vs. Faith and Persistence
Which is more important?
In Mark 11: 24-26 it says
For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will get it.
And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you your own failings and shortcomings and let them drop.
But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings.
If you think you can live your live the way you want (disobedient, hatred, jealousy, etc.), but continue to speak God’s word to your mountains and get results, you’ll be sadly disappointed.
Here’s what I mean…
Mark 11: 22-26 must be considered as a whole, not in part.
In verse 22, Jesus said to constantly have faith in God
In verse 23, Jesus said you release your faith by speaking to your mountains
In verse 24, Jesus speaks of praying, and how important it is to believe in prayers
In verse 25, we are COMMANDED to FORGIVE
In verse 26, we either forgive or neither will our Father forgive us of our failings, and shortcomings.
Let there be no doubt,
we have No Power in speaking to our mountains if our hearts are filled with unforgiveness.
» Many of God’s children know this, but continue to expect results with unforgiving hearts. I know this to be true because I did it for years.
» Many of Go’s children figure — I can operate the principles of God that I want, and ignore all others, yet speak to my mountains; I can tell you right now, it won’t work.
Obedience is the center point of the Bible, and for many of God’s children, disobedience is why our lives or in such a mess.
The disobedience my be due to ignorance or rebellion, it doesn’t matter, we have no excuse when the word is easily made available in multiple languages, and styles.
How do I get out of this mess? I thought you’ve never ask.
…with these three, you can’t miss.
