Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7)
Love is actually a skill which can be acquired. To put it differently, it’s something you could get good at, which means you get good at love by simply practicing love. There is absolutely no better time than today to practice loving other people.
You might think you’re an excellent lover, but God would like you to become a fantastic lover, a talented lover, a professional lover. However the majority of people never ever find out how to love. You can actually become a specialist in relationships.
Wouldn’t you love to grow to be known as the man or woman of incredible love? When folks talk about you, they might say: “he or she doesn’t care who you are or what you look like.” “She or he doesn’t really care where you have been or exactly what you may have done or where you are from.”
The only way you will get skilled at something happens to be to practice. You do it over and over. The very first time you do it, it feels uncomfortable, but the more you do it, the better you become.
The same holds true with love as (1 John 4:7). So let’s rehearse loving one another. Since the Bible says, “Practice these things; be committed to them, so that your progress may be evident to all” (1 Timothy 4:15 HCSB).
Talk About It
- Exactlty what can you do to practice love today?
- In your circle, who’s by far the most complicated individual for you to absolutely love? How can you move forward away from the clumsiness of showing them love, to becoming competent at loving even the unlovable?
‘Til the next episode, peace!
